Give Back to Your Community This #GivingTuesday

We are excited once again to be part of #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving.

Celebrated nationwide on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday has become known as the day that launches the giving season.

#GivingTuesday is an opportunity to give back to your community – whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes—everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts.

Many of our programs are funded in part from donations, and money that is raised for #GivingTuesday helps support these programs, such as Ask the Nurse clinics, Family Caregiver Support Network, educational programs, low-cost exercise classes, the Hospice Wish program, and more. Donations from community members like you make all the difference.

Our Hospice Wish Program is one of the main elements of our Hospice Program that is sustained by donations. This program helps patients live out their final days with the highest quality of life possible.

We grant wishes as simple as the joy of enjoying a lobster roll to as complex as giving a patient a golf cart to allow them to visit the beach. Each gift is unique to its recipient and is one more way to make meaningful moments in the lives of their patients.

If you cannot donate the gift of funds, consider donating the gift of time by volunteering. “I love being a volunteer because I can help ease the burden just for a little bit. Maybe it is looking at old photos where they are transported back to a happy time, or talking about how they met their spouse, I love the fact that they can forget about their current situation and remember something happy”.
