For VNA Community Healthcare & Hospice, 2021 was a challenging year, as I know it was for all of you. Just as I know you are, our nurses and other field staff members are weary of restrictions on normal living that keep us from feeling settled. Still, we proudly continue to serve individuals in need of quality of healthcare at home, keeping them safe at home through spikes in COVID cases, variants, and uncertainty.
In our latest annual report, we share the stories of how our clinicians in the field, our Health Promotions staff and our many other team members devoted to helping our patients and caregivers have persevered for another year amid the pandemic. Our report is complete with statistics about the care we provide and number of individuals we help on a yearly basis.
There were bright spots during the year, including the chance to bring our Health Promotions wellness education and exercise class participants in person for a time, with virtual options still in place. Our Ask the Nurse clinics and caregiver support groups resumed with appropriate safety precautions in place. We granted numerous wishes of our hospice patients, helping them to make the most of every moment.
Within this report, as always, we thank our many donors who supported our nonprofit efforts in our 2021 fiscal year to help individuals facing a healthcare crisis remain at home, and to improve the health and wellness of the community at large.
